Mountain Sports Haus has been in business since 1976. Ryan Taverna, a true born and raised Salida local, and his wife Jessi bought The Haus in 2021. Ryan worked at the shop for eight years before taking on ownership. Ryan and Jessi continue to carry on the tradition of quality service to skiers and snowboarders from all over the country.

  • Hail to the small businesses these days! Spent the day on the mountain and decided I could use a quick wax on some used skis I picked up. Called around to no avail. Then I spoke to the mountain sports haus dude and he said he could definitely hook me up. Swung by and he fixed me up in less than ten minutes. Not only that but he got the screw off my Scarpas that I've been fighting for the last few weeks! Unbelievably reasonable. They were busy with rentals and rock in' it. I highly recommend swinging by if your favorite board or skis need a tune up or anything else snow related.

  • Mountain Sports Haus is truly the best place to go when renting your gear. My friends and I have gone twice now for rentals! Each time we've gone we've made a reservation so they can have our gear prepared, but if you need bigger shoes or any alterations, they get it for you quick. Each of the employees are extremely helpful, making sure to call us by our names and give it a more personal experience. Plus, returns are simple and can be returned after hours! So thankful for this place!
